Founding members
Economists and education researchers - a successful cooperation
The WIB - Wuppertal Research Institute for the Economics of Education was founded to foster research in the field of economics of education at the University of Wuppertal. Furthermore, to ensure its own identity and to support the local, national and international cooperation of economists and educational researchers.
This idea was initiated and supported by the rector of the university of Wuppertal, Prof. Dr. Lambert Koch, the dean of the faculty of economics - Schumpeter School of Business and Economics - Prof. Dr. Michael Fallgatter, the education economicst Prof. Dr. Kerstin Schneider (faculty of economics) and the psychologist and education researcher Prof. Dr. Cornelia Gräsel of the School of Education iat the University of Wuppertal.
